Gelatin and Silver are recordings of the confluence between light and time. The Gelatin and Silver series manipulates the chemical ingredients of photographic paper to create a reaction to both the image content and the paper's surface. Each image follows the artist's attention to the play of light on surfaces and the interaction of light and shadow. The work symbolically interprets light creating images that are metaphors for personal and collective experiences.
