Cypher series is an ongoing project questioning how language and culture have evolved. The series began by trying to resolve inaccessible languages using the artist's loc hair to develop a personal language around his lived experiences. Fragments of hair locs are used to examine notions of time, its influence on individual and collective growth, and the intersection of language to describe new experiences. The presenting work is a series of inkjet and screen-printed pigmented paper pulp prints.
