Blueprints reference the 19th-century cyanotype photo-based process initially used to reproduce architectural blueprints. The images in the series signify the systematic ways institutions such as chattel slavery, the thirteenth amendment, and housing projects restricted the social mobility of Black communities. Blueprints amplify conversations around these systemic problems by combining multiple mediums and processes in contemporary art forms.
